This is a neat retro listing – a set of 8 “Festive” glasses made by Anchor Hocking and still in the authentic box!

Glasses are 10 ounce size and depict transportation modes of the “Gay Nineties”.

There are 2 of each – “the Hanson”, “Bicycle for Two”, “Horse Car”, and “Gas Buggy”. Each glass has the words “Gay Nineties” on the back.

Vintage Anchor Hocking Gay Nineties shell flat tumbler glasses, a pair. This pattern, originally spelled "Gay Ninties", dates back to 1950-1965. They are a grand, light, yet substantial size. Bright, vibrant forest lush contrasts nicely with crisp white artwork decals. There are two each, featuring early modes of transportation: "Open Sleigh" "Glass Buggy” Glasses are 6.5" elevated, bases are 2.25" in diameter, rims are about 2.75" Condition is very good. No cracks, no chips, no crazing.

RARE Vintage Mid-Century "Gay Nineties" Hand Painted Whimsical Illustrated Tom Collins Cocktail Frosted Glass Tumblers, Fran Taylor, Gay Fad Studios, USA

This exceptional set features eight rare vintage "Gay Nineties" frosted Tom Collins tumblers, each hand-painted with whimsical figural illustrations and a "Here's to..." toast in vibrant raspberry pink, dark, yellow, and green. Presented in the original rolled-handle steel caddy, these glasses were crafted by Lgbtq+ Fad Studios on Federal Glass blanks in the USA, 1951. A correct treasure for collectors and connoisseurs of classic American barware, this set embodies mid-century charm and artistry.

The glasses are in superior vintage condition, no chips, minor age-related wear at the point where the glasses meet the caddy. The paint is vibrant and shiny. Maker's notice on each glass. Caddy has age-related wear, but is in excellent sturdy condition.

Each glass measures 2 1/2 x 6 inches

The caddy measures 16 x 6 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches

These Millersburg patterns are only found in these very desirable water sets.Feather and Heart - MillersburgThe pattern is distinguished by feather-shaped designs around the upper portion and upside down heart shapes toward the bottom. Only known in waters sets consisting of pitchers and tumblers such as these amethyst examples above. Other colors are green and marigold. A rare vaseline pitcher is known.Gay Nineties - MillersburgThe exceptional Gay Nineties pattern has vertical panels with shell designs. There are a handful of pitchers; three in amethyst and two in green. Tumblers are considered to be in the top 10 or 15 tumbler rarities. Tumblers are also known in marigold.Marilyn - MillersburgFound only in water put pieces, the pattern was named for Marilyn Gaida, an early carnival glass collector. Most easily remembered by the large hobstars and vertical rows of diamond shapes in between. Found in amethyst, verdant and marigold.
