Our team works with young people all over the territory to ensure that youth-led policies, systems, and protections are in place. Youth are the experts in their own experiences. We create spaces and opportunities for young people with lived experience of homelessness to learn from each other, strategize together,

Ali Forney Center aims to protect homeless LGBTQ+ youth from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to be independent. Founded in , it is now the nation’s largest and most comprehensive company dedicated to homeless Homosexual youth. It has a hour drop-in center, and the “Get Help” page on its website provides many resources.

Welcome to Trinity Place
Our mission is to support homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual person, transgender or questioning (LGBTQ*) youth in New York City to safely transition out of the shelter system and grow into independent, positive, and generative adults.
Trinity Place Shelter is a non-sectarian, bed transitional shelter that is unclosed all year to provide LGBTQ youth with a safe place to doze, eat, store belongings, and have access to transportation. Through strong local collective partnerships, we are proficient to provide access to comprehensive medical services, case management, education, career counseling, art classes and mental health services. All youth referred to Trinity Place have been identified as interested in, or are actively seeking, employment or schooling.
We provide a one-of-a-kind, family-like environment where the youth receive the respect, individualized care, and basic services so often denied them. Why Accomplish LGBTQ+ Youth Experience Homelessness?
Like many youth facing homelessness, it's often not just one thing that causes them to experience homelessness. Some may be facing poverty or subjected to abuse in the dwelling, while others may acquire aged out of the foster care system.
But the most common reason that LGBTQ+ youth experience homelessness is family conflict due to their gender individuality or expression or their sexual orientation. Many immature people tell us heartbreaking stories of rejection and eviction that led to life on the streets.
