This is a subject that I contain wanted to write about for a very lengthy time. Why? Because I once dated a guy who was everything I had ever wanted, until&#; I found something that forever changed the foundation that our relationship was built on.
I was once that girl, who didn&#;t realize what to do or where to turn. A girl that found herself in the middle of the night Googling, &#;Is he gay? Is my boyfriend gay? I believe my boyfriend is gay&#; while *he* was sound asleep next to me &#; as seemingly NOT gay as ever. I had never had a connection with anyone prefer this before. It couldn&#;t be. But then again, why did I locate what I found on his phone?
Not only did I not find anything from my Google searches, but I actually found a ton of junk out there that personally, I think is very disrespectful to the gay society. &#;If he hangs out with guys,&#; &#;If he spends longer doing his hair than you do,&#; &#;If he dances desire (I don&#;t know what that even means),&#; &#;If he cares too much about his hygiene,&#; etc.

OCD, as we know, is largely about experiencing severe and unrelenting doubt. It can cause you to disbelieve even the most basic things about yourself – even your sexual orientation. A study published in the Journal of Sex Research found that among a group of college students, 84% reported the occurrence of sexual intrusive thoughts (Byers, et al. ). In order to have doubts about one’s sexual identity, a sufferer need not ever possess had a homo- or heterosexual experience, or any type of sexual exposure at all. I possess observed this symptom in young children, adolescents, and adults as well. Interestingly Swedo, et al., , start that approximately 4% of children with OCD life obsessions concerned with forbidden aggressive or perverse sexual thoughts.
Although doubts about one’s own sexual identity might seem pretty straightforward as a symptom, there are actually a number of variations. The most noticeable form is where a sufferer experiences the reflection that they might be of a different sexual orientation than they formerly believed. If the sufferer is heterosexual
Before you begin your Freudian psychoanalysis, make sure to mention that you hold a ‘gay-dar’, and don’t forget to detail how accurate it is and has always been.
