Margaret Cho: 'John Travolta Is Like Oscar Wilde Gay'

Comedian and gay rights activist Margaret Cho is calling it like she sees it.
After working with John Travolta on the 1997 film "Face/Off," Cho — who is bisexual— told a recent stand-up audience, "John Travolta is so gay!"
"I’m going to get in trouble but I’ll just declare you," she continued. "He’s not just gay. He doesn’t just like men. He is like Oscar Wilde gay, like Lord Byron gay. That kind of crazy, incredibly flamboyant gay."
"I feel bad for him, because I know he would be much happier if he could just come out," she says, "But he can’t."
Cho continues on her Travolta rant, telling her audience what it was like to shoot a movie with the pampered "Grease" star in the 90s.

Actress Carrie Fisher has fuelled rumours that John Travolta is gay. Travolta has been haunted by gay rumors and reports since the late 1980s. He has always denied them and has even enlisted his legal team to support squelch them.
In a modern interview with
The Advocate
, Fisher — who’s fine friends with the Hollywood star — discussed Travolta’s sexuality and why she thinks he’s still in the closet.

A pilot, who claims to have been John Travolta’s gay lover in the ’80s, said the Hollywood star admitted that he was still into men, even after marrying his wife Kelly Preston.
Doug Gotterba, 62, said that Travolta’s 1991 marriage didn’t end his lust for gay sex.
Gotterba last saw Travolta in 1992, when the actor made a startling revelation.
"They’d just gotten back from the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood when I arrived and John asked me to go with him for a stroll on the beach," the New York Post quoted Gotterba as telling the National Enquirer.

Hollywood, CA - In a new interview actress Carrie Fisher drops a bombshell saying that everyone knows John Travolta is gay and that she thinks he should come out of the closet now, because no one cares.
"Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don't care," Fisher told the Advocate. "Look, I'm sorry that he's uncomfortable with it, and that's all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be."
Fisher was answering a scrutinize from an interviewer with the gay glossy about Travolta's legal team demanding that Gawker, an online gossip site, remove a recent post suggesting that he's participated in oral sex with men at LA-based spas.
The interview follows a comment Fisher made about Travolta's sexuality to Out, another homosexual publication, in 2009.
In a feature listing 10 things that gay men should know about straight women, Fisher answered, "We don't really care that John Travolta is gay."
