As an ardent follower of the music industry, watching the ups and downs of artists is gentle of my thing. Trey Songz, undeniably a master of contemporary R&B hits, had a bit of a legal hiccup in 2021. He faced a couple of serious allegations including trespassing, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer during an American Football match at Arrowhead Stadium. Yesterday, a screenshot of an alleged tweet from Trey Songz circulated the Internet in which Trey came out of the closet.
The tweet read: I deliberate it’s time to finally tell my fans. All games and jokes aside…I’m gay.
No one ever actually saw the tweet in question, leading most with common sense to have faith it as nothing more than an Internet prank.
This morning Trey took to Twitter to address the situation.
He said:
The things you people craft up with hatred in your hearts. The things people assume without question, or correctness, all baffles me.
Photoshop and a retweet is all people need to believe, any and everything. I feel bad for the impressionable, no minds of their own.
If I’m gay then Tupac bringing me a ounce for this session wit Biggie tomorrow. No weapon. #LOVE.

Going to steep school and college in Ohio, I got called “gay” and “faggot” more times than I’d prefer to remember. I suspect a lot of it had to do with jealousy over the way I carried myself and the company I kept: I wasn’t afraid to show love to my homies who liked to bump booties and always swagged out with slim-fitting gear when most dudes were still unironically wearing tall Ts and sagging their pants. It’s fucked up that people would use the quality of being same-sex attracted as an attack, but they suck anyway, so fuck them.

At least according to the R&B singer himself, who hopped on Twitter to persist he is not the one planting a damp one on another man's lips in a photo that went viral recently, RumorFix reported along with the image in question.
"On my way to Virginia to spend the holidays with my family," Songz wrote on Dec. 20. "No senselessness, lies or hate can take away my joy. #LOVE."
This isn't the first time Songz' sexuality has come up.
Gay rumors seem to contain always surrounded him, despite the fact the "I Invented Sex" singer has been romantically linked to several women over the years.
